A 'super computer design' sounds fantastic.
Just wait until they release DirectX 12, 'squeeze more power out of the system' use the 'power of the cloud' and add some of that 'secret sauce' and the Xbone will obliterate the competition. ;)
Microsoft are keeping their Mountain Dew partnership very quiet at the moment!
If these figures are correct it means that the Xbone is being outside by the PS4 by 3-1. The majority of those sales are in former stronghold the UK. In Germany, a major market, it is being outside by 7-1 and in Spain those sales have jumped of a cliff as it is being outside 10-1.
Phil Spencer needs to reduce the price soon to gain some traction, but I suspect he is waiting until E3 so he can 'do a Tretton.' $299 without Kinect would help.
Vita TV doesn't look like it will hit Western shores so I really wish their was a cheap and easy solution to get tv out.
Of course sub 1080p resolution doesn't mean it will be a bad game, all the previews have been really positive and say it harkens back to the Sega classics.
AC IV, Call of Duty Ghosts, Battlefield 4 etc had sub 1080p visuals and were blamed on the developers doing poor ports, Insomniac don't have that excuse. Sunset Overdrive is being developed exclusively for Xbox One which means there are no other hardware platforms for the developers to spend time on or dilute their...
That's the right way to do business and they are not trying to force parity on low finances indies, they are just eager to have their ideas and their business.
It's not an error because there is a Sony video that explains this.
https://www.youtube.com/wat...
However the decision by Sony is a big error of judgement.
Microsoft have done well in releasing information about the TV programmes before E3 otherwise they would have been criticised for not talking about games. But at E3 I would like to see a trailer or something for the Halo series.
This will be the E3 briefing that wins back all the loyal American fans of Microsoft! Your patience will be rewarded!
* 24 hour DRM is a thing of the past!
* New Halo that requires 24hour internet to access exclusive features!
* New Fable that requires 24hour internet to access exclusive features!
* New Forza Horizon that requires 24hour internet to access exclusive features!
* Exclusive games from Japanese developers that like the smell of money hat...
Over 28 months have past since the Vita was first launch.
A revised model has been released.
The Vita TV has been released in Asia.
-AND YET THERE IS STILL NO EASY WAY TO OUTPUT VIDEO TO TV OR CAPTURE FOOTAGE.
Pachter still beating the drum for his favourite console company; he says "It’s funny when you say they have the weakest first party, because Uncharted, and inFamous, and The Last of Us, I would bet you if you took a single version of those three games, they don’t add up to Halo. And I would say if you take the next three games made by Sony’s first party studios, they won’t add up to Gears of War."!
Yeah Pachter keep your head in the sand and ignore the universal...
@Tedakin. I don't have any insider information! However the launch batch of next-gen games were developed on high end PCs with specs that matched what developers predicted the new PlayStation and Xbox would have. When the dev kits were sent to them they adapted their software to match the final specs of the PS4 and Xbone. No doubt the situation is the same for Sledgehammer only they will have had more time to play with final hardware of the new consoles.
HA HA HA! The first article that comes out poo pooing the Bill Gates quote (even though he is still a major player) has been submitted Xbox loyalist website Polygon.com! So it seems their 'sponsorship' is still active.
Hot diggerty damn! If Bill Gates is fine with spinning of the Xbox division then that means it really is on the agenda, and those previous rumours were based on truth.
The TV and entertainment market that Microsoft is pursuing with the Xbone is highly competitive. The concept of an all in one device to rule them all is improbable because of Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Netflix etc. Video games were a means to an end for them but now that the market has changed Microsoft has see...
"Cloud compute.
Direct X12
Optimise CPU
Secret sauce."
When will the BS ever end?! The PS4 is more powerful graphically then the Xbone and no amount of PR about improvements will change that.
By putting Halo TV on Showtime it means it will be available on torrents within hours of being broadcast. This make it less of a selling point of the Xbox Live subscription if the programme is already out in the wild.
The only benefit I can see in doing this is if the Halo TV programme is so brilliant that it captures a mainstream Game of Thrones type of audience and then Microsoft say the only way to watch series 2 is with Xbox Live so the mainstream have to buy an Xbone to...
At the front of the trailer it says something like "all footage captured on Xbone." This means that Microsoft have put up the money and still have the exclusive DLC for Call of Duty .
I'm all for Activision developer teams improving the quality of the Xbone version but it would be wrong if Microsoft money is being used to change development decisions and make the console the lead platform thus gimping the PlayStation 4 edition. Sadly it seems that Microsoft is ...
This is why Sony are leading the home console gaming industry. They pioneer, they innovate they look to the future. Microsoft copy.
Microsoft have so many resources and experienced talent they should have been first to market with the smartphone and tablet and but they stood on their Windows laurels and Apple took that crown. They should have been the best internet search company, but a small start up called Google took that crown. They should have been at the heart of soci...
Ban the websites that posted lies.
This is a 2D game so you get it for the (best) console you have. I will be buying it soon but by all accounts it is a nice little story RPG that can be completed in 15 hours so won't take up your whole summer.
"Running solidly at 60fps, the PS4 game is the definitive console version."
"The occasional frame-rate drops don't really harm the gameplay on Xbox One given their rarity and mildness, although to find any dips in performance in a...
